Tuesday Night Track
Roosevelt High School - 7:00 PM
Due to school athletic competitions, we will be hosting a few workouts at the Woodland Park dirt track along Green Lake.
This will be communicated in the Tuesday Track Heylo thread on Monday mornings.
Whether you’re hoping to add some variety to your weekly running/walking routine, pursue a personal best, or train for competition, we encourage you to join us on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM for track practice. The address is 1410 Northeast 66th Street, Seattle, WA 98115 (meet at the stands on the north side of the track). After track practices, we will have group dinners at Due Cucina Roosevelt during the spring. In the summer when the weather allows, we will have group picnics.
Each week’s track practice will begin with announcements and introductions in the circle, followed by a half-mile jogging or quarter-mile walking warm-up. Please arrive early if you want a jogging warm-up of more than half a mile. After our warm-up, you can expect form drills together as a group. The run host will then explain the week’s recommended middle-distance and long-distance workouts.
Recommended workouts are designed to be flexible and adjustable. Every Monday, they will be posted to Heylo. Please note that these workouts are optional, though, and you are welcome to do any workout you choose!
